Even as a kid, I never liked Billy. I get that the straight man funny man routine might need the funny man to be stupid, but that doesn’t mean he needs to be insufferable. I think it would have made Mandy’s character more interesting if her attitude towards her brother was more unjustified. I don’t know, maybe it was just the voice acting that grated on me.
