Jerry is an interesting take on the bumbling dad trope. He is dumber than a post, but it’s usually not his stupidity that gets him into trouble, but rather his insecurity about his own intelligence and his need to prove himself that causes so many problems. I find a lot of humor in Jerry just being Jerry.
