Back before Youtube, the best way to find AMVs was AnimeMusicVideos.org and it still exists. There are so many old low resolution AMVs there, though some of the links are broken. I’m worried about what will happen to all those old videos if the site eventually dies. Then I get all existential and realize that Youtube, WordPress, and Etsy will eventually close down too and everything I do will be lost and forgotten at some point in the future. I mean, how many hundred year old companies are there? …Okay so I looked it up and there’s this company in Japan that was founded in 578. Not 1578, we’re talking about three digit years here! I guess that makes me feel better about the ephemeral nature of digital media.
