I raised an Aron on my team back in Pokemon Emerald. I wanted a Metagross as my steel type, but Aron was easier to get. Of course, I was a kid so I never bothered to give it a moveset that worked well. I just remember using Earthquake all the time. I don’t know about you, but I tend to shuffle my Pokemon around as I play. Like, I’ll catch up to six Pokemon and then only really use two until I find one I like a lot. Then I’ll switch one out and use just that one for a while until I forget about one of the two originals and switch that one out. Basically, I get bored of some of the Pokemon in my party and will box them even if I’ve won a lot of battles with them. I know that sounds unfaithful, but Ash does it all the time, so I don’t feel too bad about it.
When I was a kid, I wasn’t too into catching um all, but now that GTS and Wonder Trade exist, I can’t help trying to catch almost every Pokemon I come across so I can send them off in Wonder Trade. I’ve actually gotten a few shinies that way… probably hacked shinies, but I don’t mind.
