I remember Nightmare Before Christmas being pretty scary as a kid, but I rewatched it recently and I think I may have just been a wussy kid. Oogie-Boogie was the worst and I remember skipping his scenes or suddenly needing to go to the bathroom. The scene where he falls apart into bugs still freaks me out a little. Despite that, the movie is a lot of fun. It’s not the pinnacle of visual storytelling that I once thought it was, but I do still enjoy it and the songs are super catchy.
