I’m back from my vacation! I planned on watching The Last Jedi while visiting family, but we never got around to it. We visited a butterfly sanctuary instead. It was… odd. After buying our tickets, there was a place where you could get your picture taken with a girl dressed as an angel. It was strange since she wasn’t wearing butterfly wings or anything, just a normal angel. Then we went down this hallway that had mood lighting because of the art on the walls and at the end of this creepy hall was another angel girl on a pedestal. And, you know, two eerie angels is a little unnerving, but we got into the habitat and there were four other angels! And if you’ve ever been to one of these, you’ll know they’re like humid greenhouses. These poor girls had to stand around motionless in floor length long sleeved dresses with huge sets of wings strapped to their backs. They each had a fan, but it must have been torturous for them. And there was no need for six living angels in such a small space. All they needed was one up front and two in the garden max, but no, let’s put all six of them out at once and let people watch them sweat awkwardly. The butterflies were cool though, and that’s what matters. One even landed on me briefly. It was an interesting experience.
