Doraemon was a little before my time, but it’s a classic anime that ran for a really long time. I recently watched a few episodes and the show kind of has an Ed, Edd, and Eddy feel to it, but less annoyingly crass. It’s fun and the dub is pretty good so I bet it would be a good introduction to anime for young kids.
