My Patron NinjaGoemon swam through the empty streets. Red and white tube worms thrived in tight groups everywhere, choking ancient doorways and growing thick through collapsed roofs. As NinjaGoemon continued into the depths, the otherworldly music abruptly stopped and the cavern walls started to shake violently.
I steered well clear of Castlevania when I was a kid. 2D platformers intimidated the heck out of me and still do. Surprisingly, I never had the same hang ups over 3D platformers like Croc and Spyro, but for some reason, I associate anything described as Metroidvania as super hard and I shouldn’t even try it. It absolutely doesn’t help that Super Meat Boy exists.
